Most of our double rooms feature comfortable standard double beds, but if you’re lucky, you might snag one of the three rooms with luxurious king-size beds. Spacious and serene, these rooms are perfect for a peaceful, restful night after a day exploring Cape Town.

Our triple rooms usually feature three single beds, but we also offer a special family-friendly room with a double bed and two singles — ideal for families exploring Cape Town together!

My room was perfect, clean and tidy on arrival. The staff were extremely friendly and approachable… always on hand to offer advice about the area, the lodge and great tips on local places to check out.
Ashanti is in a great location. It's around a 45min walk from the V&A Waterfront and only 10 minute walk from Cape Town city centre yet, its far enough away you always get a good night sleep. There are restaurants, coffee shops and and checkers 5 minute walk away. You get great views of table mountain as well. It's 10 minutes in an UBER from Camps Bay and Clifton Beaches.
Showers and toilets were spotless everyday. My room had a ceiling fan that was much needed in the heat and kept me cool at night. The pool was also nice to cool down and served as a great opportunity to meet other guests.
I loved my stay at Ashanti and if this is what backpackers hostels are like, I am all for it. All the others certainly have some big shoes to fill to match the Ashanti.
